PRP Starter Set with SERVOspin Evolve: a compact start
The PRP Starter Set combines the SERVOspin Evolve benchtop centrifuge (six places, 5.2 kg) with 20 Vi PRP-PRO tubes and consumables. For 1200 × g this works out at approximately 3,400 rpm.

Two Starter Sets, one difference
Both Starter Sets contain 20 Vi PRP-PRO tubes, blood collection sets, syringes and KIPIC® needles. The difference is the centrifuge.

For needles, this set contains 27G × 13 mm, while the set with the EBA 200 MD contains 32G × 4 mm instead.

The SERVOspin Evolve is a class A in vitro diagnostic medical device and not a class IIa medical device; whether it is suitable for your workflow depends on the intended purpose of all products used. Do not transfer speed values between centrifuges without checking. Training, instruction and work instructions remain the responsibility of the facility.

RCF and speed calculator
Protocols state the relative centrifugal force in × g. The speed your centrifuge needs to reach it depends on the rotor radius.
Formula: RCF = 1.118 × 10−5 × r (cm) × n². The radius is the distance from the axis of rotation to the bottom of the tube in operating position. 86 mm corresponds to the Hettich EBA 200 MD with rotor E4413 and 9 to 10 ml tubes according to the manufacturer's documentation. 76, 101 and 126 mm are the radii of the Hettich EBA 270, depending on the bucket. The approx. 93 mm for the SERVOspin Evolve is derived from the manufacturer's figure of 2,600 × g at 5,000 rpm; with adapters the effective radius may be smaller. The result is a calculated value; the instructions for use of the tube and centrifuge take precedence.
